This is just a little bit I'm doing at the beginning to let you know that the episode was recorded before the announcement of the general election happening on July the 4th. It was also recorded before, you know, Jeremy Corbyn announced that he's running as an independent candidate in Islington North.

So if you're wondering why me and Alexi aren't addressing the humongous elephant in the room, that's why, because we didn't know it was going to happen because it hadn't happened yet.

That is to say, please listen to the very end because at the end of the podcast, me and

Alexi have a nice long chat about the world and some silliness as well.

But the main chunk of the podcast is an interview with Paul Curry.

That interview was recorded in Alexi's living room. A little peek behind the curtain. When we record remotely, the sound quality is a lot easier to control.

Whereas when we're in his living room and they're doing it in person, it can be a bit echoy sometimes. And I do everything I can with the audio. But, you know, this is a small independent production. We don't have that much equipment. We don't have a studio. That's for certain. So, you know, that is why sometimes the sound quality sounds different in the interview chunk to the intro and outro.

The intro and outro is normally done remotely, just me and Alexi, and that's a lot easier to control the sound.

So all you people giving me grief in the comments about the sound quality, get off my back, please, you're hurting me.
