Hello and welcome to a fairly over-excited 50th edition of the Not the Top 20 podcast.

George Ehrlich, to my right, I'm Ali Maxwell, and we're talking football league, EFL content.

And not only is it a landmark for us as our 50th but while we're excited about that what

we're really excited about is that this afternoon quite out of the blue really we found out that

we've been nominated for the FSF Awards 2017 Best Podcast of the Year Award which seems

completely ridiculous the FSf is the football supporters

federation and the awards do is well it's pretty swanky it's it's to our eyes pretty important

and it's unbelievable that we've been nominated alongside the likes of quickly kevin will he score

football weekly of the guardian of course the totally will he score Football Weekly of the Guardian, of course, the

totally football show, second captains, the indie football podcast, these are the biggest

football podcasts around.

And somewhere, somehow, NTT20s popped in the mix and George, I think it's fair to say

that we are astonished, flabbergasted, as you said on Twitter, but also feeling

unbelievably blessed and very lucky.

I think it's quite symbolic for a podcast that specialises and not the top 20 that, you know,

producers and presenters and guests from those podcasts will look at that list of pods and see

us and think, who are they?

And never would have heard of us before but we're

delighted to be there yeah I'm fairly shocked but I'm glad that whoever you know whoever put us up

for nomination and that the judges who must obviously know what they're talking about have decided

to include us and we're looking forward to you know I don't we're going on with much expectation to win it but we're just going to enjoy being there and we're really forward to, you know, I don't think we're going on with much expectation
