Mac Power Users, episode 5, word processing Mojo.

Hello, David Sparks here from Max Sparky.com, along with me today is my friend Katie Floyd. How are you, Katie?

I'm good David. How are you?

Excellent and I am ready to go with word processing. I think so it feels like we

haven't talked in a while. Yes, that's right. And I suppose I should admit off the bat that that is my fault.

I've been traveling a little bit for work and actually have had to have postponed this show twice.

But don't worry, we got a lot of emails from people, we haven't gone anywhere. We're not going anywhere anytime soon at least based on your reaction to the podcast.

So we're here and we're going to try to stick to about two shows a month. No set schedule but you'll probably hear

from us about twice a month. Yes and actually getting the emails was nice.

It means that people like us. People like us and they miss us.

Yes.

But today we're here to talk about word processing and I think it's worthy of its own show

don't you?

Okay, well this was an episode that, you know, in perfect honesty I had some reservations

about because I'm like, you know, really a whole show on word processing, but as I've really dug into this and done research for the show

I really have learned a lot more about a lot of these products that we're going to talk about today

and perhaps even changed my mind on some of the programs that I use and maybe some other programs that I should be using.

I agree. There's some great stuff out there and the thing is the reason I want to do the show is because a lot of people that's their primary form of computing is writing documents and I thought it's worthy of discussion

So let's start with the 800 pound gorilla, Microsoft Word.

Microsoft Word, this is probably my section I think because I think we've established

that I use Microsoft Word or just about all kinds of word

for just about all kinds of word processing that I did, you know, short of a
