Today, I want to talk about friendship, particularly friendship with women because

I know from experience that that can be one of the biggest blessings in life, but also

one of the biggest challenges.

We want to be accepted, we want to be known, we want a place at the table.

But I think in doing so, we can be quick to settle for just good company instead of truly

seeking out and becoming for others good community.

So today, I want to look at five ways to know if your friendships are healthy or if they're

toxic.

You can use this list of five indicators to help measure the health of your friendships

and not only seek out healthier friendships, but also be a better friend.

So I've actually written about this concept before, but what's hard about writing about

it is it's hard to really dive into each one of these five indicators.

But it came to my mind this week because one of the girls in my life, she reached out

to me, she sent me a text message and she shared a challenge that she was facing with one

of the girls in her life, one of the friends in her life.

And she asked me, she said, Jay, I really don't know what to do here.
