type. In the AARP study from 2014, it showed that nearly 90% of those surveyed over the age of 65

same survey found that among the next wave of retirees, those who were between the age of 50 and 64,

only 71% have felt the same way. Now, it's been six years since that initial study, and those

individuals in the second wave are either approaching their 70s or they are already 70 years old.

And this is the phase we would generally expect to see seniors beginning to start focusing on their living options and choices.

Since that original study in 2014, the AARP has conducted another study, and it's also their most

recent study focusing on this issue from 2018. And in this most recent study, the results had

showed that adults 50 years old and older, who preferred to stay in their homes as long as possible,

was now at 76%. The National Association of Home Builders had also

recently shared that they have seen a 30% increase in the amount of its members seeking specialized

training to help their older clients who want to stay in their homes for as long as possible.
