| 0:00.0 | In this video, we are breaking down my five bold predictions for the 2026 fantasy football season. |
| 0:04.8 | Now, obviously, it's way too early to have anything set in stone. We still need to go through free agency, the draft, the training camp, and a whole bunch more. But let's have some fun with these way too early predictions. And we'll start with the Giants quarterback Jackson Dart, who one of my bold predictions is that he is going to finish next year as a top five fantasy quarterback and it reminds me a lot of how Drake May was at this time last year. Now if you're not |
| 0:24.3 | familiar, Jackson Dart was taken in the first round. The Giants traded up to get him, so there was a lot of investment into Jackson Dart, and in his final year of college at Old Miss, he completed 69% of his passes, average 10.8 yards per attempt. He threw for over 4,000 yards, but the reason why in fantasy he was very appealing was this right here. |
| 0:39.9 | His final three years of college, 614 rushing yards, about 400 rushing yards, and then about 500 rushing yards, all while not turning the ball over that much his previous two seasons. So you have this guy who's not turning the ball over. He's mobile. He's accurate. And now a team is spending first on draft capital on him. This is interesting. Now, if you were to look at his entire season, his rookie year in the NFL, 2025, it doesn't look like insane, but you have to factor out the games where he didn't start or only got a couple of snaps. Because his 17.6 fantasy points per game for a rookie quarterback alone would be pretty solid it would rank 14th overall |
| 1:11.2 | amongst quarterbacks in 2025 but you really have to look at the games when he actually started |
| 1:15.1 | becoming the quarterback in his third game of the season where he scores 19 points and then he starts |
| 1:20.1 | to take over for russell wilson who was struggling at that point in the season they started |
| 1:23.5 | jackson dart over james winston and Dart goes in there in about weeks two. |
| 1:27.7 | He plays 4% of the snaps, week three, 5% of the snaps. So from week four on, we get a good representation of what the starting quarterback for the future, for this year, for the most part, Jackson Dart looks like. And during those 12 games where he also dealt with injuries, he left games early, he was taking hits, concussions, and whatnot, right? In those 12 games, |
| 1:44.3 | despite leaving some of them early or leaving a quarter here and there, he averaged 22.3 |
| 1:49.3 | fantasy points per game. He also averaged over 40 rushing yards per game during the stretch, |
| 1:53.7 | scored nine rushing touchdowns in those 12 starts. He was a top 10 fantasy quarterback |
| 1:57.9 | if you look at those stretches. So when you start to boil this down a |
| 2:00.8 | little bit more, top five doesn't feel that crazy, especially when you consider that for the most part, this Giants team this year, there's a reason why they have one of the worst records, have one of the highest draft picks. It wasn't a good team all around. Jackson Dart didn't have a lot of weapons. I mean, Wondell Robinson for them is now a free agent. We'll see if they're able to resign him but he was their best weapon and coming into this year he was mostly known as like a |
| 2:19.9 | check down target now Now, I would say Wondell Robinson definitely in his contract year did ball out. He deserves a bigger contract. We'll see where he lands. But with that said, Jackson Dart did not have the elite weapons that were expecting him to get back as soon as next year. And this is where I kind of talk about Drake May. Drake May at this time last year after his rookie season had no elite weapons. |
| 2:36.8 | The team had to go out and get a Stefan Diggs, go out and get a trivia on Henderson in the draft. But in terms of Jackson Dart, his guys are just going to come back. Malik Neighbors will return from an injury, hopefully week one, if not by like week five after the PUP list, right? You're going to still get Malik neighbors, |
| 3:11.3 | that guy who, by the way, in his rookie year, 170 targets, 109 receptions for over 1,200 yards, what they were his quarterback situation. You're also going to get Cam Scadaboo back. Sure, he's a running back, but he was a running back who had a lot of success when he actually took over. In his six games where he was the starter, or at least more involved in the offense before injury, he was averaging almost 20 fantasy points per game. Between his rushing and receiving yards, he was averaging nearly 100 total yards per game, was a great receiver, had a lot of chemistry with Jackson Dart. When you get those weapons back, that will help the entire offense and your quarterback. And that's not even to say who else they add in the NFL draft and potentially free agency, not to mention they're going to have a new coach. Now, as of this recording, we don't have clarity on who that coach will be, but it's heavily rumored that the contract is close to being signed with John Harbaugh. They're just trying to figure out, like, who he's going to report to. He wants to report directly to the owner and not the AGM, and they're trying to figure all this out. Now, assuming that he actually does become the head coach, he's not like an offensive genius or anything along those lines, |
| 3:42.4 | but he is an adult in the room, right? John Harbaugh is a great head coach. So we would expect this to give them a little bit better of a culture, at the very least, and maybe even develop a more winning roster, be able to actually have some success on a drive-in and drive-out basis on offense. Now I did mention in terms of the NFL draft, there is a lot of spots where you're seeing the Giants. |
| 3:59.7 | This is ESPN, some early mock drafts. on a drive-in and drive-out basis on offense. Now, I did mention in terms of the NFL draft, |
| 4:14.5 | there is a lot of spots where you're seeing the Giants. This is ESPN, some early mock drafts, getting drafted at the fifth overall pick, Cardinal Tate, the wide receiver from Ohio State. Now, of course, they have a lot of other needs as well. The offensive line has always been banging up. There's a lot of needs on their defensive side of the ball. When you get a guy like Malik neighbors coming back and if you're able to re-sign a Wanda Robinson, who probably in a wide receiver free agent |
| 4:17.3 | market where there's not a lot of guys, we'll talk about that in a future video. Wanda Robinson just might be priced out for what the Giants are willing to spend on him. So maybe you do get a draft pick in Cornell Tate with the top five pick and you're able to get a game-changing wide receiver to put next to Malik neighbors. |
| 4:29.5 | So a lot of these reasons, it reminds me of Drake May, |
