Hello from CNN, I'm a Foma Dickay with the five things you need to know for Tuesday, November 21st.

Sources familiar with the negotiations say Israel, Hamas and the U.S. are on the brink of

reaching a deal to free hostages held in Gaza.

They've been held by Hamas since the militant group attacked Israel on October 7th.

CNN's Alex Marcord has details on what the deal could entail.

An immediate group of 50 people being released from Hamas custody,

all civilians, all women and children.

This would take a course over four to five days

during which time there would be a pause. This will be a

swap if this happens in that for the 50 women and children who we understand are

Israeli or dual nationals around 150 Palestinians would be released at the same time

from Israeli prisons.

The deal also includes red cross visits to hostages from Israel,

still being held in Gaza, and medicine for hostages who need it.

That's according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Etinahu's office.

The Israeli government would be prepared to extend the deal

if Hamas is prepared to release
