Israel's military says six more hostages have been released by Hamas today,

on the seventh day of the truce.

That's in addition to the two Israeli

hostages released earlier today. An Israeli official said the

hostages were freed from different places and at different times because they were

held in different locations in Gaza.

The terms of an extended truce between Israel and Hamas

require the militant group to offer a new list of hostages

in exchange for a pause in Israel's military operation.

Secretary of State Anthony Blaken met with Israeli and Palestinian leaders.

He said Hamas cannot continue to control Gaza and that there must be safeguards in place for Palestinians.

I made clear that before Israel resumes major military operations, it must put in place

humanitarian civilian protection plans that minimize further casualties of innocent Palestinians.

A member of Israel's parliament says the government is willing to set new terms

to release men and soldiers Hamas holds.

This comes as two Israeli men that were missing following the October 7th terror attacks have been confirmed dead.
