Summary

The last year has been difficult for most everyone. How many times back in March, April, and May of 2020 did you or someone you know say “2020 was supposed to be my year.” I felt that way, for sure. In today's episode, I'm discussing the power of perspective and letting go of the anger about how things "could be." Huge thanks to Trent Shelton (check out our conversation here) for the inspiration for this week's topic.

1:08.8

anxious lately. I have been just for like the past week and a half waking up in the middle of

1:15.4

the night. And you know what, it brings me back to how I felt at the beginning of the pandemic.

I was mourning a lot of things that hadn't happened yet. You know, so many things that I had been

1:48.5

plotting and planning. I felt like I had all this momentum. I was traveling a lot. I was doing

1:53.7

a lot of speaking engagements. And I was just really hopeful for what was to come. And when I say

2:01.3

that out loud, it makes me think about a lot of other things in my life where I felt the same way.

2:06.8

I mean, my last relationship, for example, when that ended, I felt like I had the rug pulled out

2:13.0

from under me. And at the time, you know, I was thinking a lot about the things that I thought

2:18.9

that we would maybe do together. Like I maybe thought about what life could look with like with him.
