what's going on everyone Emily a body here back in your feet today for five minute Friday

man what a week it is freezing here in New York you know it's funny I feel as though because

we've had such a mild couple of weeks in this transition to winter that when the temperatures are

exactly how they are supposed to be for this time of year we act like it is literally the apocalypse

at least I do anyway for today's episode I just I had a really beautiful moment about an hour ago

that I wanted to share so this morning I went to a podiatrist and talked about this ongoing battle

with plantar fasciitis for anyone who may not be up to date on my foot problems cute I know

I've been navigating pretty rough plantar fasciitis for the last handful of months I had at the

beginning of my London training cycle it went away and then it came back with a vengeance and since

the London marathon I have been really just struggling with it some days I feel totally fine

other days I'm limping around most every day come four or five o'clock I am in some sort of

discomfort and so I made the decision that I was finally going to seek out another tool beyond

physical therapy which brings me to this morning at the podiatrist so she told me I have a few

options I'm not going to get into the logistics behind the options but I basically left feeling

kind of defeated and just a little frustrated because I have this thing it's not going away

and it's going to be really expensive to do something about it I have been so diligent about

my physical therapy exercises and like taking the time to take care of me and still like I'm in

this place with that said I think you can probably tell by the you know nature of my voice I've

been feeling frustrated about this but I sat down at my desk like 15 minutes ago and I was so happy

despite having this like frustrating day because I was thinking about how lucky I am to have

really great friends in my life and my mom adopted a dog yesterday which is over the moon exciting
