Number five, Richard Stetson.

None of the forensic dentists had seen a case before in which there had been a bite

mark with slashing and cutting through it as if to hide the bite mark.

That's what the law calls a signature crime. That is, it is done in a way that

is very unique. It was August 22nd of 1982, and the seaside city of Portland, Maine was winding

down from the last stretch of summer. In 11 years old, Richard Steadson was the kind of kid

you'd see everywhere around town.

In that part of the northeast, the children get restless in the winter,

so they soak up the warmer months outside as much as they can.
