This is the week where the church curriculum has a studying DMC Section 109.

This is an amazing section.

It's the dedicatory prayer of the Kirtland Temple.

Really beautiful language. A lot of echoes from Section 88, because Section 88 was one of the sections really telling them that they needed to build the temple and talked about what kind of a house

it would be and what kinds of glory would come because of it, some of the purposes that are

repeated here in the dedicatory prayer, which was received by Revelation as the

dedicatory prayers are. They are something that is sought in Revelation and then delivered

and given at these sacred events of dedicating a house of the Lord unto him.

And what a nice thing to study as we see temples growing up all over,

not without tricky times influencing or trying to impede the work, I should say. I've mentioned

this before. We have a son and daughter-in-law in their family in Midway, and we have another

son and daughter-in-law in Heber, and they will both be in the new Hebrew Temple district when it's completed.

Well, there were a lot of protests against, again, the design or the lighting or the location.

I mean, it's all the same zoning stuff that we see in many locales around the world

that encounter that kind of pushback from neighbors.

And they have had that in Hebrew, which, I mean, I'm not usually naive about these things,

but it still makes me shake my head, kind of like, seriously, Hebrew, Utah, and they can't be on board

with a temple to the Lord. It's sad. They started. They had the groundbreaking, and they started,

and so the kids out there were saying, you know, that they would even, like, kind of swing around

and drive past there because they were starting to see construction activity, and that was exciting.
