This is another one of those late-knit recordings that I'm doing because it's been a crazy week.

And, of course, I think it was just the day after I recorded the last podcast that we had the assassination of Charlie

Kirk in Utah.

And there has, of course, been quite a bit of fallout from that, as there should be.

Not the ugliness that we see, of course, but certainly

some interesting responses. I'm going to talk about that toward the end. I'm going to first

touch a little bit on these sections, and then I'll give some thoughts about what happened there.

I will say right off the bat that this, you know, sadly, such a dark stain on the state of Utah.

I mean, it's certainly not, you know, the responsibility of everybody in Utah,

but it's just so tragic that it happens here in the shadow of so many temples, a phrase that we use

sometimes, maybe a little tongue in cheek, but this time you think how tragic it is.

We have prophecies that told us that Salt Lake and parts of Utah would become some of the most wicked,

so we're seeing fulfillment of all those things.

I do have to mention that these incredibly beautiful blue hydrangees behind me are real

and were a birthday surprise sent me by the Helen Tuft family.

They grow naturally, well, I mean, you know, they were planted abundantly in the Tufts backyard.

Anyway, I commented once on how much I love them, and they remembered that, and Monday was my

birthday, so it was a really lovely surprise, and I brought them here to share with you because they're such stunning flowers, and they are natural.

I mean, all flowers are beautiful, but this is, I mean, it's not easy to find these, and I've tried planning them a couple times.

They don't do well, at least not in my Utah backyard, So I'm enjoying them, and I wanted to share that with you.
