Hi, this is Lily DeHoya Sanderson, and you're listening to Choosing Glory.

Thank you for joining me this week.

We are talking about section 93, and I am going to spend most of the time talking about this

section, which is not the longest section by any means, but wow, there are some really amazing principles taught in Section 93.

And brothers and sisters, I know I've mentioned this many times, but I first read a book of scripture on my own when I was 16 and that was the doctrine and covenants.

And it was a seminary curriculum, but I actually decided to not just go and hear about it in

seminary, but to read it daily and finish the book during the school year and fell in love

with the doctrine and covenants, fell in love with Scripture, fell in love,

at a deeper level with doctrine.

Again, my parents were marvelous.

I'd been introduced to great doctrine just growing up in my family.

But this personal experience with a book called Doctrine and Covenants was precious to me and the beginning

of a lifelong love of personal scripture study and learning and seeking. I'm so grateful for that.

I'm grateful for the foundation laid by my parents, and then so grateful for having a

partner in marriage who was also a seeker and who took joy in that journey, in that shared

journey that we embarked on as a married couple and as parents

of our family.

Grateful that my kids have seemed to follow that same path and that I have grandchildren

who are now finding their own way on that path.

Anyway, I know that doesn't always happen. We have a lot of

skin in the game, so I know anything can change it anytime, but we're so grateful for this

path that is available to each one of us, whether or not our partners are on this path, whether or not
