Hi, this is Lily Anderson, and you're listening to Choose and Glory. Thank you for joining me for

part two of section 77 through 80, and let's do some current events. First, very sad news, and I know there are bad things happening all over the place,

and I don't even cover all of them. And I don't always talk about the wars that are going on,

and I know that there are people suffering every day with the impact of evil in their communities,

in their lives personally and publicly and as nations. So I hope we are praying for those who

suffer all through the world, that the Spirit of the Lord will be with them and that there will

be comfort for those who turn to God, however clear their beliefs, brothers and sisters,

we can pray for each other. There was a tragedy in the U.S. here just recently on the 4th of July.

Early, early in the morning in Texas, there are over, I think, 90 confirmed dead now

from a flash flood in Texas that raised the level of the Guadalupe River

and some of its tributaries in an incredibly fast and lethal way.

Apparently, according to the lieutenant governor, Dan Patrick, part of the river rose 26 feet in 45 minutes.

That's incredible. There's just no escaping that kind of flood because it went over the Banks River, of course, and just tore into the community. And it was an area where

there were camps. And some just girls Christian camps one named camp mystic but a lot of

other campers that were around anyway there are still some missing and a lot of children were lost from

those camps so really a tragedy and again our hearts go out to all who are affected by difficult times in these last days.

And I do hope we pray for their comfort and for the peace that passes understanding

when they are able and ready to receive it.

I do pray for that because I know I'm not the only one who has suffered in this last season of my life,

and I am very aware of the comfort that I yearned for, and I pray for others too.
