If you're just tuning in, here's where we stand with Juan Soto.

Number one, the honeymoon is over from MET fans.

He's got to perform. He hasn't this year.

And number two, whether it's true or not, there is now a perception that he hates being in New York, Matt.

Bob Klappish wrote earlier today that med officials are now concerned about Soto's lack of enthusiasm for his new team.

Quote, the only time Soto seemed happy this weekend was while he interacted with Judge Aaron Boone and Jazz Chisholm during batting practice.

Whether that's true or not, I guess you could decide.

Michael K is now saying people in the nose say Soto wanted to remain with the Yankees,

but his family convinced him to go to the New York Mets. Here's the problem. And I like Bob Koppish,

and I like Michael K. So it's not about them per se. It's about who's telling you this?

Right. Do you know this for a fact, or is this secondhand through somebody else? So here's what I'm speculating about, because I don't know. And Bob Koppish and Michael would

never reveal their sources, nor should they. But I'm going to speculate about their sources,

because why not? It's right. The Yankees are probably saying that. The Yankees are probably

saying, yeah, he always wanted to come back. It was that damn family that convinced him to go to Queens.

I don't know what's true or not.

I'm not pretending to.

But when I see things like this, I also have to have, you know, my eyes are wide open to know that doesn't mean it's fact.

Just because you're hearing this doesn't mean it's true.

Here's my kind of philosophy on Juan Soto.

Yes, he looks miserable.

Yes, he looks like he's going through the motions.

But I think it's because he's sucking right now.
