collectively in maybe like a mild kind of PTSD about with with the the course of the election so far because you know we had

the we had August right and August really let's call it the long August which really started on July 21st

when Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race and basically handed off to Kamal Harris.

And maybe it's not the long August.

Maybe it's actually the long July that only ended maybe this week because what was it I think it was June 28th

when we had the the presidential debate that I think we can see almost regardless of the outcome of this election that debate

was the sort of the central pivot of the 2024 campaign how can it not be? It's the event that eventually led to

Joe Biden, the incumbent president, deciding to end his presidential campaign.

Again, totally unprecedented in anything like modern American history.

The LBA thing really doesn't come close. It's much earlier in the cycle and it's important to

remember that in 1968 we had a very different kind of, I mean, it was pre the modern nominating process, which really

begins in 1972 after the reforms, post 1968 reforms, etc, etc.

etc.

So really, when L.B.J. ended his campaign.
