It has been a long, hot summer, but grab a beer and kiss your loved ones goodbye because it's

game week, baby, the official game week. The first one of the 2023 season is here. And of course, you know what that means,

just days away from the season opener against the Steelers. And we're all wondering, when is Nick

Bosa going to get a new deal? We had a little bit of hope during the weekend when Josina Anderson tweeted,

it's great to be Nick Bosa entering the Labor Day holiday weekend now and coming out of it

$30 plus million richer per year. Soon enough, will his brother Joey's percent increase over

Miles Garrett's contract be the minimum increase over Aaron Donald's with the same

agent. Time will tell. Well, we're waiting. The clock is ticking, right? If he's going to get

on the field against the Steelers, he's going to need to sign the deal soon. For what it's worth,

Chris Jones is not showing up to Chiefs practice today and they play

on Thursday and word is he still could play if he signed. So I guess Nick Bosa has a little bit of time,

but man, we are cutting this thing close. And if you need a reminder of just how much leverage

Nick Bosa has in these discussions,

Jeff Deanie of Pro Football Focus tweeted this out, including playoffs.

Nick Bosa had 98 pressures last year.

The most of any edge rusher currently on the 49ers right now besides Nick Bosa is Cleland Farrell's 23. That's how badly the 49ers

need Nick Bosa because there is no other edge patch rusher on the Niners right now that has done

anything of any significance in the National Football League.
