Welcome back to the morning mindset if you are new to the morning mindset. I want to

truly genuinely welcome you. I welcome you, thank you, for joining this movement of believers in Jesus Christ

who are taking the time every day to set their minds right. And I notice it's kind of an interesting thing, I notice in the statistics for the

downloads of these episodes. We tend to see a drop in the weekend. And I kind of understand that

because we tend to be in more of a regular routine

Monday through Friday and then Saturday and Sunday it's a little bit different and so we may fall out of the

routine of listening to something like the morning mindset but I want to

encourage you if you are listening to this morning mindset try to make it part of

your day on Saturday and Sunday too because on those days we need our minds reset just as well don't we?

We need to live maybe even more so those days because we're often among our family more,

the ones who we most want to impact for the kingdom of God.

And yesterday I told you kind of a humorous but convicting little story from my own life

about how God used a phrase from this book we've been looking at,

humility by Andrew Murray, and used a little phrase from the book to convict me of my own

irritation and to convict me of my own irritation and to show me how much I need to change my way of

thinking so that I can recognize the means by which God is building humility into my life.

Because humility is a gift. It really is the gift of all gifts.

The one thing that enables us to become low so that God and his power can come in and fill us.

And that story leads me to another thought from the book
