So, hey, today is episode 498. We're talking about how to calm your anxiety, active anxiety management, and how to alleviate your anxiety.

In this podcast episode, I'm going to teach you how to talk back to your anxiety, how to minimize its effects on you, what to do when you feel overwhelmed by anxiety, and how to turn your anxiety issues into your greatest strength and gift.

Now, I know that sounds like a lot. It's a big promise there. I used to feel so suffocated by my anxiety that I felt that it would rule me forever.

But what I didn't realize is I was giving it the authority because I wasn't taking ownership of some of my own role in it.

Now, I do actually describe myself as someone who is prone to anxiety. God has done a tremendous amount of healing in my life, and anxiety through coaching, through therapy, and through books, and a lot of resources, and great mentors.

But that doesn't mean my personality has a specific wiring that has propensity to anxiety.

And it comes often from this driven achiever, this desire to maximize, that often leads me feeling that low-grade anxiety or frustration.

And so I just want you to know, I'm talking about anxiety from a first-hand experience, from a personal experience.

And I'm not claiming that there's this life we get to live that's anxiety-free, but that anxiety when we heal back the onion layers is simply fear.

And I do know that we don't have to live in fear.

And now, maybe you follow your follower of Jesus like I am or you're not, you follow another original religion, maybe you're spiritually seeking either way.

I know that we can all agree that we can choose to live a life of fear or live a life of love.

And for me, as a follower of Jesus, Jesus was love. He is love. I want to be that, and I know I want to.

When I read God's Word, I see promise after promise, command after command, not to fear, promise that I don't have to live in fear.
