6 The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all who are oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moses,
his acts to the people of Israel.
8 The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9 He will not always chide,
nor will he keep his anger forever.

| 0:32.4 | In this particular section is just full of kind of a biography of God. It's going to outline |

| 0:45.6 | First number six says the Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. |
| 0:53.0 | I love that phrase because it points us to some of the fundamental characteristics of God's character. |
| 1:00.0 | The Lord is righteous, there are no sins or injustices that escape his attention. |
| 1:11.4 | And he is at work, many times behind the scenes, many times in a much slower way |
| 1:17.6 | than we would care for, yet he is at work. Working out what is right, |

| 1:27.4 | where oppression is happening. |
| 1:30.4 | And I know it's hard to conceive |
| 1:32.4 | how this can be true sometimes because we look around the world in which we live |
| 1:36.0 | And we see many people either in third world countries where some dictator is in charge |
| 1:42.4 | who are being oppressed. |
| 1:45.0 | Or perhaps it's in a situation where someone's being abused or someone's being taken advantage of. |
| 1:51.0 | And we see that wrong and something inside of us wells up and we're angry and we want to see justice done. |
