What do you love about music?

To begin with,

everything. Everything. Putting on a great show is the most important thing you can do. One great rock show can change the world. Laura Jane Grace formed against me as a punk rock band in the late 1990s and has seen the band in her own life undergo dramatic change.

Against Me joins us this week to talk about reinvention and rock and roll. Then Greg and I review the new album

from Blur. That's all coming up on Sound Opinions. This is Sound Opinions and later in the show

we're going to review the new reunion album from Blur.

We never thought we'd see this one Greg. In recent weeks we have denigrated cash-in reunion tours

and the idea of a band name as a brand, but this is a group we're actually excited

about. We both believe this was one of the bands in the 90s right up there with

nirvana or My Bloody Valentine in terms of influence.

Later on the show Jim we're going to talk about whether or not this new album still brings the

goods, but first we've got some music news. When the night has come
