So if you guys have followed along for a while that you know that at the beginning, we used to talk a lot about child training.

And that's because a lot of our parenting revolved around child training when we had a lot of little kids close together.

And then I feel like this is a common thing that happens with parenting is as your older children get more complicated and move into different

levels of where it's requiring more from you as a parent, it's easy to kind of drop the things

that you did with them when they were little. But now they have all these little siblings

and those siblings are still requiring the same amount of attention or should be.

Anyway, so why shouldn't I kind of have had our eyes open recently to needing to refocus

on child training the little years.

We've been kind of doing some band-aid parenting and just wanted to chat with you guys

about that today because we figure that some of you might be in a similar season of just a

spread of some older children that are easy you know that are seeking to please and that you're

working with more on an emotional level and then having those little guys that still just need

that black and white discipline yeah it's been said countless times that parenting is one of the

more humbling journeys you can go on.

And that certainly has been the case for us. And as our older children, and they're not,

you know, we don't even have adolescent children yet, right? Our oldest is, is nine years old.

I think sometimes he considers himself an adolescent. I think sometimes we're parenting an

adolescent. Yeah, because it feels like it's...

But there is the old...

So with our older children's, there's that adage that we'll often say.

It's like, okay, what got us here won't get us there?
