Welcome to the morning mindset. I hope that you are here to align your mind with the

truth of God. I hope that's why you're listening and I encourage you to make this a

regular habit whether it's by listening to the morning

mindset or by getting into the scriptures on your own every morning and perhaps you even should

do both.

Because we can never get our minds too closely aligned with

what God thinks about things. It is our very fuel for living to understand what God thinks about the things that are going on around

us and how we should live our lives and then to model ourselves after that.

And that is what we've been talking about these past few episodes is having a model in

the life of Jesus Christ that we are to live after we are to imitate. In one of the

ways that is interesting that we can do that is to look at the life of Jesus and take particular notice of the things he said and did that indicated his mindset about how to live his life.

That's kind of an interesting way to think of it, isn't it?

What did Jesus think about the right way for him to live life?

If you look through the words that he said and the teaching he gave, there are many things

that he said that show that his life was steeped in humility.

I want to read you a fairly lengthy passage from the book humility by Andrew

Murray but pay close attention because he's going to look at a bunch of verses from the

Gospels that demonstrate how Jesus thought about how to live his life.

Andrew says, listen to the words in which our Lord speaks of his relationship to the Father, and how

unceasingly he uses the words not and nothing of himself.
