Firstly, we are covering an extraordinary miscarriage of justice at the post office that has been two full decades in the making.

But firstly, the post office.

In 2010, Sima Misra, a sub-postmaster in West Biiflete in Surrey, was found guilty in court and sentenced to 15

months in prison for stealing 78,000 pounds from the post office that she ran.

She was sent to prison while pregnant. She had to

give birth to her second child in hospital while wearing a tag. Misra had

pled not

guilty in court and there was a very good reason for that, which is that the money that she

appeared to have stolen had actually gone missing from the accounts of the post office

she ran due to a computer glitch, a computer glitch that was not an isolated incident. In fact, due to the

post office's faulty technological systems, 550 separate sub-postmasters across the country have had their lives, their careers and their finances ruined.

And some, like SEMA Misra, have even been prosecuted due to it.
