Good morning my friends. It is time for the morning mindset. I hope you are ready. I hope you're getting yourself ready. Maybe it's time right now for you to just take a deep breath and clear your mind of everything you've been

thinking in this day so far so that you can receive the truth of God clearly without distraction.

Maybe you've got to pull over for a moment if you're driving.

Maybe you need to go and sit down in a quiet place and just let yourself prepare

to receive the Word of God this morning because it's this word of God that will fuel us through our lives

We've been looking at the word of God through the eyes and the mind of another man most recently that man is Andrew Murray who penned a book called

humility. Andrew was a pastor in South Africa many many years ago and he's been

speaking about this issue of humility, how it relates to the introduction of

pride into our world. And naturally, back at the fall is where pride came in when Adam and Eve chose to sin.

And Andrew goes on to write this.

He says, Pride has its root and strength

in a terrible spiritual power, outside of us as well as within us.

And as needful as it is that we confess and deplore it as our very own, is also to know it in its satanic origin.

If this leads us to utter despair of ever conquering or casting it out, it will lead us all the

sooner to that supernatural power in which alone our deliverances to be found,

the redemption of the Lamb of God.

Now let me just kind of put in modern terms what Andrew is saying there. He's saying that pride of also has been rooted within us through our inheritance of sin from Adam and Eve.

We talked a lot in the morning mindset about how

a remnant that hangs on to us that is attached to this mortal body that we live in

and that when we leave this mortal body,

we believers in Christ will finally be free entirely of sin.

And that's a glorious day that we look forward to.
