So after we finished recording today's episode, I was walking out to my car and our guest,

Eric, was walking out with me.

And he said, hey, you should check out these NVS fins.

They're game changers.

And I laughed and told him that we've actually been partnered with NVS for probably four

years now and that those are the only fins I've read in since.

Well, it turns out, Eric and NVS's co-founder, Jamin, are cousins.

I've known Jamin for a long time. He never revealed to me the fact that his cousin was the drummer for no FX,

and, by the way, that he shaped surfboards.

And in fact, I met Eric through a listener who

introduced us at the boardroom show. So it's just funny that it took Eric and I this long to connect

and that it would come through a listener, which so many kind of connections in the surf world have.

So I'm glad that we finally got the opportunity to connect. We recorded this episode at Eric's home,

and it turns out that he lives in the same neighborhood only three streets away from where my

parents lived for 15 years. And I lived with them actually there while I went to college and everything.

So it is a small world, but Eric is right. The NVS fins are game changers,
