Welcome to the Huntsback Country Podcast. This is episode number 485 and as part of the

experience project we are talking about water filters. Not just

filters though, we're talking about finding water, sourcing water, yes filtering

and treating water, and then also how to store and transport water. In particular on backpack hunts

water is life. You absolutely need it and your hunts can be greatly dictated by it.

When water is plentiful in an area, it becomes an afterthought,

but when you hunt in areas or conditions where water is tough to find source and filter, you realize just how important water is.

So we discuss all that. We get into our specific ways that we like to filter and carry water, how that's

changed from previous years as both filtration technologies have changed but

also how our preferences have changed as well.

All right, so when it comes to any backcountry hunt, especially multi-day hunt, Steve,

water is just absolutely critical, right? We all know that that water is important. We hear the stats on,

oh you need water and I don't like to stay hydrated but to live, you and I just as past fall experienced how important water can be.
