Hello, my friends. I am recording the intro to this episode during one of the saddest weeks of my life.

And I wanted to tell you about what's happening because I can't just go on with the podcast, business as usual,

and not let you know that my family and I are heartbroken right now because we found out last Sunday morning

that my beloved brother-in-law, Logan McKenna,

died unexpectedly, and he was only 44 years old. He was so incredibly special. And we are simply

shattered by this loss. As soon as I got the call, I got into my car and started driving to Utah

to be with my sister and her two teenage children,

Callum and Jade. And as I was driving and trying to wrap my mind around the immensity of this loss,

I thought I am so glad that Logan agreed to be a guest on my podcast a year ago so that we can

have his goodness and wisdom recorded

forever more. If you've listened to my podcast for a while, you may remember this episode

that originally aired in February of 2025, where Logan talked about how to support a loved one

who's struggling with mental illness. I decided to re-air that episode on the podcast today

as a tribute to him, so everyone who listens will get a taste of just how good he was and will

understand just how much he will be missed. This is a loss that's impossible to put into words,

and our family isn't going to be okay for a very,

very long time. And in the midst of my grief, I've been wondering how it might be best to move

forward with the podcast. The next few months are going to be so difficult. But fortunately,

I had pre-recorded several episodes for the month of

June before this loss happened. I'd done those interviews. And I had already planned to air

encore episodes in the month of July so that I could spend more time with my family. And it feels like

such a blessing right now that I worked ahead so I can be fully present with my
