Welcome back to the morning mindset. I want to begin right away with a quote from the book

Humility by Andrew Murray. He says, humility is not something which we bring to God or that he bestows on us.

It is simply the sense of entire nothingness which comes when we see how truly God is all

and in which we make way for God to be all.

When the creature realizes that this is the true nobility

and consents to be with his will, his mind and his affections,

the form or vessel in which the life and glory of God are to work and manifest themselves.

He sees that humility is simply acknowledging the truth of his position as creature and yielding to God his place.

You know as I remember first reading this book humility that is the paragraph that jumped out at me and grabbed me most of all

in my initial reading. And it's the idea that humility is a realization more than it's anything else.

It's realizing how little I am in light of how much God is.

It's a recognition that true nobility, true fulfillment as a human being is in consenting to that truth, in acknowledging that truth.

And Andrew says with our will, with our mind and with our

emotions,

emotions. We are acknowledging that is true. I am nothing. God is everything.

And it's in that place of recognition that God's glory and power begin to work in us.

Because we as his creatures are consenting to give him his place as the

Almighty Creator who has formed us and has placed us into this earth.

I find that to be a very liberating thing.

I find it to be a very power-giving thing

because it is the place in which we are able to make ourselves

available to God but also in which he is able to move in unhindered by our attitudes of of self-reliance and
