Hi and welcome to this episode of the Recharge series from the Be Still and

Beloved podcast. My name is Aaron Bremer and I'm excited to be with you today.

In our time together we will listen to what God has to say,

bring our focus to our breathing,

and allow our bodies to reset and recharge.

I'd like you to find a comfortable position, maybe sitting in a chair,

resting on your couch or even lying in your bed. Let's begin by feeling our breath move in and out.

Take a few minutes to notice how the air comes in and then out. As you focus on your

breath, may I tell you a story? A few years ago my husband and I decided to build a new house.

We had just moved to a new state and needed a house to fit our growing family, so we decided to build one.

It was a new experience for both of us and we were so excited.

So we picked out the land the house would sit on,

had the plans drawn up, and then had to clear the land

of all the trees, shrubs, and roots

so we could actually start building.

I'll never forget seeing that bulldozer coming down the road.

It was massive and I knew it was for us. I knew it had work to do on our land to clear a spot for us to build our new house,

but what I didn't expect is how quickly it would destroy everything in its path.

I remember seeing gigantic trees snapping in half,

roots being pulled up from the ground and dirt being shoved everywhere.

It looked like a disaster.

When the bulldozer was done, it was a huge mess. It actually looked worse than before.
