And I have one spooky story for you today.

And our story comes from August the 22nd, 2025.

You'll see for the next couple of episodes that I'm jumping around a bit

in terms of timelines for August and September. I had to move around some of the stories for 31 days

of terror. So if you're listening, I think, I'm sure we were in September last time. We were. I'm just

moving around a little bit. So our story today comes from Gary.

Unfortunately, I still have the graphic, vivid memories of the highly disturbing and equally

unsettling mental trauma that ravaged me back during my 20s. And which for some strange

reason has now clung to me for decades,

like some kind of insidious blood-engorged tick.

When I think back on it now, I can't help but wonder who or what was guiding and manipulating the marionette strings,

attached to my tattered and tortured human doll.

Coincidence or not, this act of ungodly psychological manipulation

began shortly after breaking it off with a girl I'd been dating on and off for about eight months.

Yes, she was quite beautiful and kind enough as far as that stuff goes, but there was just

something about her that rubbed me the wrong way.

Well, I guess I kind of half already knew what I was getting myself into,

when she explained right from the get-go during our very first meeting at that dingy dive bar that she was deep into witchcraft, voodoo, incantations and casting spells.

We dated for a while and generally got along fairly well,

but there was always that nagging something about her,
