Here today we're going to be talking about average Ben.

Yes, that's me being average. So how did this podcast come about? Now I get a lot of questions

online about how I got to where I got to in my career, how I lost all my weight, how I built all my muscle and essentially how I went on to in other people's eyes be successful. I would class myself as a successful person.

I feel happy I feel content I've got a lovely wife I've got a good career I've got a

beautiful house I've got an amazing dog I've got a baby on the way

like honestly what is not to be happy about I am in a great place and that for me is

success and what I want to talk to you about today is that I am just a really average

person that decided to make some decisions to take my life in my own hands and control the outcome.

And the reason I think this is important and there's

many of you probably listening to this thinking,

I want to achieve more, I want to do do more and whether that's your body your

mind your relationships your career it it literally doesn't matter now when I was

at school I was really really average like I did art I was a good art student I was pretty

creative I liked exploring and playing and photography and making pots and stuff and all sorts and I was rubbish at all the academic stuff.

So Mass, English, all of that stuff I was kind of like a you know just a C student English or was a D student and it's kind of ironic now that I've

written several books and write emails every day and apparently I couldn't string

words together as a kid. But the reason that's important is I spent my whole childhood kind of getting told that I was wasting my time by doing art and doing design and acting and all that kind of stuff and that I should put more time into English and mass but the reality was that wasn't my strength

And a sure-fire way to be unsuccessful is keep trying things you're not really that naturally good at.

And we're all naturally good at some stuff.

Like I'm naturally a creative person.
