Hey guys, welcome back to the podcast. You're listening to Encounter Now with Nick and Chels. We're excited for you to listen to this message today, which is very unique and different than what we've done before. Usually we have a conversation with someone else or just with each other about various different topics that young adults face. But today we are going to listen to my husband Preach, which is a message called Take a Seat.

He did this message in Oklahoma City, and I loved listening to it myself, and I know that you will too.

We would love to hear your feedback, but without further ado, let's go ahead and get into the message.

If you have a Bible, go ahead and open up to Hebrews chapter 5, it's towards the end of the Bible.

We'll be in chapter 5 of the book of Hebrews.

We'll be going into chapter 6 just a little bit.

And to set the stage for you before we get into the book, I want to tell you a little bit about this text, a little bit about what's going on in the time, a little bit of context for you. And so what we know about

this book is that the author is unknown. We don't know who exactly wrote the book of Hebrews,

but what we do know is that they were very passionate when they wrote this text.

They had a lot of zeal. They had a lot of fervor. They were really trying to get something

across to this group of believers that they're talking to in this text, the Hebrew people.

And in a room like this and in a room this size, I would be remissed if I didn't say that

I think that before we leave tomorrow,

it's been an incredible week. It has. It's been an amazing, amazing week. And I've been here

for most of it. But I would be remiss if I didn't say that I think that God wants to say

something to each and every single one of us this morning, whether you've been the Christian

and your dad's a pastor,

or whether you're still in this room this morning,

and you don't know who Jesus is.

You've heard all about him.

You've heard the gospel this week,
