What happened? So, it's New Year's Eve. Okay. And my friend Jake and his girlfriend show up to my friend's house.

By the way, it's six of us in total that are going to be here. So, it's not like this big gathering, like it's six of us.

And it was just me and my friend Max and then Jake and his girlfriend show up. And they show up with sniffles. They're going, hey guys. Why would they show up?

And I was like, huh, that's funny. And then they go, before you go to say anything, don't worry. We got COVID tested. It's not COVID.

But you're still sick, you assholes. It's clearly something.

It's just allergies. Maybe it's just allergies. And like, I was like hyperfixied on COVID because, you know, everybody is.

And your dad has COVID right now, doesn't he? Or didn't he last? He's finally recovered. He's recovered now. So, he's good.

Which makes me happy. Yeah. Um, so yeah, then two days later, I wake up, I go, hmm.

Why do I feel like trash? Oh, no, because they were sick. And then I text them. I said, this is a betrayal. You're dead to me.

And he goes, I thought COVID was the only rule. Oh, my God. You know, uh, there were.

So before COVID happened, yeah, I remember when you were little and you had a fever and they sent you home from school.

This is what when I hit me, like how, people were like, COVID's going to change everything.

But like how it just totally has warped our perception as human beings, as far as to what's acceptable.

Because yeah, in the past, I mean, did we know that colds were transmissible in the past? Did we care?

I don't know. All I know is like, God's sick. And I don't think it's COVID. I'm going to like double check and get tested.

Like tomorrow, but you know, it's finding the test as impossible.
