Reelignment, speaking with Dimitio Paravich, author of Word on the Brink, how America can

beat China in the race for the 21st century.

This conversation and the book are all about Dimitri's belief that she-jing-Ping is preparing

to seize Taiwan in the coming years, a decision that could be incredibly disastrous for both the United States and the world if he's not deterred from doing so.

Dimitri famously predicted in 2021 that Vladimir Putin would invade Ukraine in 2022 at a time that the belief was not widely held beyond certain parts of

the intelligence community. So Dimitri's perspective on these issues I think

is incredibly relevant as we kind of focus in on the centrality of the Taiwan question to the next few years of American foreign and as we discuss domestic policy.

Your new book starts off describing a Taiwan invasion scenario,

but it's a little different than I think the scenario

a lot of folks are going to have in mind.

It doesn't take place in 2027.

It's not primarily amphibious in terms of how it actually kicks off.

So how about you just start of start by explaining why you tell the probable story of what an

innovation would look like and it's going to be a little different than our

expectations.
