0:25.9	she played a large role in supporting the intellectual work that led to the expansion of the child tax Credit, a policy decision which halved
0:34.5	child poverty in the United States. Now, with the guarantee, she's arguing, that the
0:39.1	left should fill the void in the American economic system post 2016, post the other than a financial crisis,
0:45.3	and of course post COVID with additional guarantees that would provide economic security,
0:49.8	everything from higher education to health care to housing etc etc.
0:54.6	Along with discussing those guarantees and how she thinks there's an opening for new
0:58.4	economic ideas in this country I wanted to focus on how she thinks inflation
1:02.2	and fears of its return and continuance in certain
1:04.8	circumstances will play a role in limiting the ability of the left to come up with new ideas
1:09.1	that could involve more spending.
1:11.0	Especially as Joe Biden looks at its bad inflation numbers in the polls,
1:13.9	this is going to be an incredibly relevant issue to look at not only this year but moving forward.
