Just what America needs in an election year, in honor of Alex Garland's Civil War out this weekend

where California and Texas have allied as the Western Forces, declare your state, for for or against them. I am Katie Rich and as the only

person on this podcast living in a state that once did succeed from the Union. I feel

pretty confident that North Carolina and many of the rest of the former

Confederate states would do their own thing. Are you bragging that you live in a

state? I'm just saying they have a proven track record and there's no reason to expect them to do it differently this time

I am Matt Patches currently in New Jersey we'd probably be having our own internal Civil War while a state or nationwide Civil War happens

just because we're purple.

So I'm just gonna say we're gonna sit it out but like have our own problems.

Hey, it's me David the 7, I haven't seen the movie, but so many Colorado transplants are from California and Texas, yeah, we'd probably get sucked into the Western

forces.

However, my girlfriend Java says we have all the water and

wouldn't have to ally with anybody.

I'm David Erlich and you know I live in New York City which often feels like a country unto itself to begin with.

I go into a very different territory when you go even like 40 minutes north on the train or the car certainly up the

London Valley but I don't know I feel like I feel like you know New York's gonna do

what New York's gonna do and you're to blow the bridges and you'll be okay.

Yeah I mean I think as we see in the first scenes of Civil War, yeah that's kind of a

Dark Night Rises scenario the patch is imagining. We need the Batman to save us. But in the Civil War, if things seem kind of as usual in New York City in the beginning of the movie, except there's a suicide bombing in Brooklyn, a Brooklyn that looks absolutely nothing like part of Brooklyn,

because it's clearly Atlanta.

And it's supposed to be like,

imagine there was a suicide bombing
