As a Brit looking at what's going on in America right now everywhere with left right

conservatives liberals radical liberals all of that you know that whole mix it seems

like absolute chaos like I can't quite get my head around what's going on where

so maybe you can explain why is it at this stage you know how did it get like this

yeah I think it it feels something like chaos on this side of the pond as well.

I think, you know, the most basic way to understand what's going on in America is that these very

deep and significant divisions within American society first

expressed themselves through the election of 2016 so Trump was a manifestation of these divisions in American society

and then once he was elected he further entrenched those divisions and made them more volatile, more aggressive,

brought the conflict out into the open.
