0:00.0	As you attend the traditional Latin mass you'll hear people say,
0:07.0	as you attend the traditional Latin mass, you'll hear people say, oh I went to a low mass, I went to a sung mass, a
0:16.7	Misa cantata, a solemn high mass. And so today we're going to cover the three kinds of liturgical expressions of the traditional Latin
0:26.7	mass.
0:27.7	We'll look at the solemn high mass, the sung mass, sometimes called the high mass, and the low mass mass so let's take a look now the fullest
0:35.8	expression of the Roman Rite of the Eucharistic celebration of Rome in the West
0:42.1	is the solemn high High Mass, the Misa Salimness.
0:45.8	It is celebrated by the priest and on each side he is flanked by a deacon and a subdeacon who assist him.
0:54.5	And it's very beautiful because the priest isn't
0:56.0	chagible.
0:57.1	The deacon is in the Dalmatic and the subdeacon is in the tunical.
1:02.0	And they move together in an orchestrated way.
1:04.6	It's very Trinitarian, very impressive.
1:07.5	Now on the altar during Amisa Salimis,
1:10.2	you'll see six candles, unless there's a bishop that would make it a
1:14.1	pontifical solemn high mass and when there's a bishop an extra candle is
1:18.6	provided this makes for seven candles which represents the fullness of holy orders, the
1:24.0	bishop has the fullness of holy orders, the sevenfold spirit, but if there's not a
1:28.9	bishop, you'll see the six. Everything is chanted.
1:33.0	It's normative, just like in the Eastern Rights,
1:35.0	that everything be chanted that's allowed.
1:39.0	Of course, the Roman canon is going to be said quietly,
