Summary

God consistently recruits unlikely characters to accomplish His purposes—and that should give us tremendous hope! In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses Peter, his role in the early Church, and the instructions and warnings he offers us in his second letter. Peter and the other disciples were not perfect men when they were recruited by Jesus, but the Holy Spirit transformed their hearts, making them bold and uncompromising in their faith, despite cultural pressures. Studying their lives gives us insight that can help us navigate the deceptive time we're living in and encouragement to stay true to God's Word—even when it goes against popular opinion.
