Well, let me ask you, do you struggle with a sin that you just can't get rid of? Maybe you've asked

it over and over again to help you to stop

gossiping or lusting or maybe losing your temper. You know, I think we've all been there. And today

we're going to talk about how to finally find victory over sin struggles like these. My conversation

is with Jonathan Pekludo, who is the lead pastor at Harris Creek Baptist Church

in Waco, Texas. And he's written a new book called Why I Do What I Don't Want to Do,

replace deadly vice with life-giving virtues. Now, we recorded this conversation a few months ago

shortly after the revival at Asbury College began. So I started by asking JP to share his thoughts

on that as well as what a personal revival might look like. You know, if you want to have victory in

those areas where we're continually stuck in a pattern of sin, we really need a revival and a renewal

of our hearts and minds. But how do you get there? I wanted to start our conversation by talking about something that has been in the news over the last month or so, the mainstream news, as well as really in Christian conversations.

And that's the revival that has happened at Asbury University.

For those who are maybe not in the U.S., that's a small Christian school that is in Kentucky.

And a normal chapel service just ended with people not wanting to leave, just staying, worshipping.
