Summary

In this episode, I’m bringing you a powerful wake-up call—one that’s as much for me as it is for you. I dive into the raw truths of what it means to reclaim your inner fire, dismantle limiting beliefs, and take radical ownership of your life. From the exhaustion of emotional burnout to the clarity that comes through nervous system healing, I share my personal reflections on how we betray our own souls for comfort, validation, and the illusion of safety. I speak honestly about what it takes to stop sleepwalking through your relationships, habits, and dreams—and how to finally listen to that ember inside that’s been waiting to be reignited. This episode is a rally cry for anyone ready to rise. Hello and welcome to another episode of the Mark Groves podcast. Today I'm coming at you with a solo

0:06.0

episode and if you missed it previously, I'm going to be doing more solo episodes and less

0:12.1

guest ones. I've been feeling really inspired to have more conversations with just you and I.

0:19.3

And it's not that I feel like I've already had all the conversations

0:22.5

you can have in the subject of relationship, because of course that's ridiculous as a notion.

0:27.8

And I'll always be a student and will continue to be. But I'm just going to be so highly selective,

0:34.6

not in a hierarchical way, but in what do I want to share with the world? Not what do I

0:40.3

think you want to hear, although that, of course, is what guides a lot of content. But it's like,

0:46.2

what does my heart want to speak of and trusting that, you know, as I think it's Rick Rubin says, like art is created just for the sake of art.

0:57.9

And the audience always comes last. And of course, that's not very relational to say you come last

1:03.5

because you don't come last. But I have to trust the calling of my heart and what it desires

1:10.0

because it's never misled me.

1:12.6

And, you know, if you've been listening for a long time, you've experienced the stumbles

1:18.6

and trials and tribulations and the creation of identity, the melting of it, all in real time.

1:25.6

And I live pretty much all of my growth out loud. And there's, of course,

1:33.0

some save for the privacy of my relationship and myself, but the majority is used as a way of

1:39.6

teaching. And that is something I actually really thrive upon. And I think that's a lot of reason why you

1:47.8

have resonated with the things I share is talking about my own navigation and challenges of

1:53.7

life's sticky moments and you know I used to think when I say used to, maybe it's 20 minutes ago I dropped it and maybe it'll come back.

2:04.6

But I used to think that I would arrive at a place and peace would be there always.

2:09.9

Like I'd achieve something and then there would be peace or I'd make enough money and then there would be peace or I'd get into a relationship and then there would be

2:18.1

peace and you realize that the expectation of no conflict in your experience in the world or with yourself
