The Hello and welcome to mini episode number 457 of real live ghost stories.

And I have three spooky stories for you today.

And the last story comes from the 31st of March 2025.

And story number one comes from Maddie.

I originally sent in a story about a mimic, which was featured in mini-episode 380.

And as I said then, most of my weird experiences centre around my mother.

We've heard so much about freaky kids, but awareness also needs to be raised about freaky parents.

Everywhere my mum has lived seems to be haunted.

But personally, I think she's a magnet for these things.

When I was around 12, we lived in a lovely little house that despite the spooky things that happened there felt very homely.

One of the strange things that happened quite frequently was my mum's favourite necklace would go missing,

sometimes for days, sometimes for weeks. And despite turning the house upside down looking for it,

she wouldn't find it, but it would reappear in random or obvious places.

This necklace wasn't expensive or even really sentimental. It was just her favourite,

and she'd wear it every day when it wasn't missing. It was a silver chain that had a large

Gothic cross with black stones on it. One night I had a friend

staying over and we had gotten onto the subject of my mum's necklace being missing. This

particular time it had been missing for nearly two months. As my mum was explaining to my friend

how it disappears and reappears and it must be a ghost that keeps taking it.

We started hearing the wind chimes in the dining room, probably just a breeze.
