And our film review this week, our film review is The Monkey. The Monkey was released in

2025. It has six out of ten on IMDB and 77% on rotten tomatoes. When twin brothers find a

mysterious wind-up monkey, a series of outrageous deaths, tears their family apart. 25 years later, the monkey begins a new killing spree,

forcing the estranged siblings to confront the cursed toy. Before we actually get into talking

about the film, which I think will be quite a short review today, I am going to say that I am

currently using a different microphone. So if the sound quality is different,

it sort of picks up on a lot of the plosive sounds. So if the sound quality is different, or if you're

like, hey, that sounds not the same as normal, that is why I am currently away. So therefore, I am recording with a different microphone and I will be using my normal. That is why I am currently away, so therefore I am recording with a different microphone,

and I will be using my normal microphones as soon as possible. Anyway, look, so this film, right,

it's fine. It's grand. Like, is it good? It's entertaining. It's not something that is going to blow your mind.

I actually, you know, I quite enjoyed the story,

which I was surprised at.

Like, it was fine and it was engaging enough.

There's a really kind of nice absurdity

to a drum playing monkey being evil and possessed

and causing loads of deaths. And I was pretty

here for it. The deaths were outrageous and silly. And there was lots of kind of vaguely comic gore.
