The Hello and welcome to me in the episode number 453 of real live ghost stories.

And I have two spooky stories for you today and the last story comes from the 9th of March 2025.

And story number one comes from Ryan.

My wife and I are massive believers in the paranormal and are big fans of all things spooky. And we were excited when my wife came across a

ghost investigation event at Fort Horssted in Chatham, starting at 8pm and ending at 2am. Being

locals, we instantly jumped at the chance and bought

tickets. Fort Horstead is named after a Saxon king called Horsa and is one of five forts built

in the 1800s to help protect Chatham's eastern and southern approaches and has seen its fair

share of action throughout the world wars.

The night started off with a warm welcome from our guides, with free hot drinks, snacks, and a

debrief on the investigation before heading back into the main entrance of the fort to take part

in a protection prayer. Admittedly, my wife and I are not overly religious, but we believe in

protecting ourselves from any negative energies. We also did a closing prayer at the end of the

investigation before leaving the fort. Everyone on the investigation was split into two groups.

My wife and I were in group one and then our dedicated guides would lead our groups to different sides

of the fort. The first two rooms we investigated was the first time I experienced the icy chills

that I have heard about on so many ghost hunting shows. And I can confirm that it's exactly how

it's described. The night was already quite cold,

seeing as though it was about 9pm on a Friday night.

But the feeling of something you can't see going past you was so strange.

I made sure there were no drafts coming in from where I was standing,
