And today we have a special treat for you all.

It's a bit of a reunion show here on the Bowery Boys because we're bringing back Patrick Bringley, a guest who first appeared on the show two years ago to talk about his at the time new book, All the Beauty

in the World, a museum guard's Adventures in Life, Loss, and Art published by Simon & Schuster

in February of 2003. Patrick's book is a fascinating

and heartwarming story of his journey from a magazine staffer in his 20s to dealing with his

brother's illness and passing, and the search for peace by working as a guard for a decade in the most beautiful place he knew,

the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

It's a story about Patrick's personal journey while surrounded by some of the world's greatest works of art.

And it's also a book about the Met generally.

Patrick takes us behind the scenes to discuss how that

enormous cultural institution functions and in particular what it's like to work there as a security

guard. We're bringing him back on the show today because the book was and still is a smashing

success. He has been written up and profiled in the New York

Times and New Yorker. And Patrick has just adapted his book into a one-man show called All the

Beauty in the World, starring him, which opens at the DR2 Theater at the Daryl Roth Theater

on East 15th Street on March 27th, 2025.
