Summary
My Two Cents – Ep. 45 – There Will Always Be Pain. Choose the One That Pays.
My Two Cents today is all about pain and choosing the better type of pain in all areas of your life.
Isn't "better pain" an oxymoron? Well, it can be, but let me explain. There are two different types of pain in life – the kind that keeps us stuck or the kind that propels us forward. This episode is all about choosing the latter.
"There's always going to be some type of pain, so choose the one that pays better."
Take working out for example. Sure, working out can cause pain. You're literally tearing your muscle fibers so your muscle grows. All that sweat and soreness is the pain. Lori and I work out regularly, so we're choosing the type of pain that helps us grow. If we didn't work out, we would trade that pain for the opposite – disease, weight gain, low energy etc. Either way equals pain, but one offers a reward.
The same goes for your financial wealth and abundance. Many are unknowingly choosing to struggle financially by playing the victim for their circumstances (It's not fair…etc.). Similarly, many can choose the pain of self-judgment, knowing they are capable of so much more but not doing it. It's time to start getting uncomfortable.
"You're always going to have aches and pains, so let them be pains that give you a life of joy to offset them."
You're never choosing to be pain-free, but you can choose the pain of struggle or the pain of growth. It's so important to choose the right kind of pain, but many of us are choosing wrong. Why?
"It's easier to choose the type of pain we're already familiar with then it is to choose the type of pain that's unknown."
So I say, choose the unknown. Take that leap. Step into your power and consciously choose the RIGHT set of pains. If you do, the payoff will be well worth it.
In This Episode You Will Learn:
- How consciously choosing the right sets of pains can propel you forward
- How to step out of your comfort zone
- Why some people are choosing to struggle financially without even knowing it
- How to step into your power
