0:00.0 | Welcome back to mood with Lauren Elizabeth. I'm Lauren Elizabeth and today we are going to be talking even more about work life balance, but not only are we going to just be talking about work life balance because we can talk about that forever. |
0:12.0 | We are going to be talking about it with one of my absolute favorite influencer entrepreneurs Mary on a huit. |
0:18.0 | You probably know her from being absolutely stunning on Instagram and being one of the two female founders of summer Fridays. |
0:25.0 | She is such an incredible story. So many little juicy nuggets of self care starting a business and making sure you keep it all balanced. I love everything she stands for. |
0:35.0 | I love following her. I love her as a person. Can you tell I love her? So we're going to have her on for today's current mood combo. But first let's jump into best mood and worst mood of the week. |
0:45.0 | What I love about my best mood was I think just thoughtfulness. I talked to you guys a lot about changing my mindset last week. I really enjoyed recording that episode. I get so happy when you guys connect with an episode, especially when it's a solo episode because I just I try to like really just get out exactly what I'm going through in the moment in hopes that we can connect. |
1:05.0 | I just love when we do. After going through the realization of knowing I need to change my mindset, I just found myself having to be very thoughtful and thoughtful in positive ways. Obviously it's not always easy to be super thoughtful when having to just check yourself and notice your thoughts more. |
1:24.0 | It really can be a best mood with just being thoughtful in every kind of decision you make and kind of how you spend your time and what you do with that time. And so I found myself just being thoughtful even in communication to just like really wanting to be understood and not have like this drama and negativity that maybe was happening in my head almost in my life. |
1:47.0 | However, I had to have like maybe a tough conversation with someone or talk to someone about something. Everything was just super thoughtful. It might not make a sense because it's kind of a weird mood adjective, I guess, but it's just kind of that feeling of like pausing and thinking before you react, whether it's with yourself and just deciding like how you want to handle an email that came in or how you want to handle your free time that night. |
2:12.0 | Just those little things, whereas someone with anxiety could easily overanalyze, it was replaced with thoughtfulness. I really obviously love when I'm thoughtful with my communication because then I know that I'm treating others with like incredible thoughtfulness and respect, but then being able to do that with yourself is like kind of awesome. |
2:31.0 | So I just had a lot of thoughtfulness this week and it made it a lot more easy and calm. I won't say easy. I'll just say calm. It makes you able to feel good when you've thoughtfully made your decisions instead of then overthinking it even after, not even just before. |
2:48.0 | But then it's like my worst mood was obviously still going through the breakthrough. You know, it's like it's not something that happens overnight. |
2:54.0 | And I think the reason I felt comfortable maybe like making my worst mood the same is last week is because I don't want you guys to think that I just like had this like revelation that I have to change my mindset and that like now all of a sudden I'm cured and I'm good. |
3:07.0 | Like it's still like breaking down barriers and breaking down walls. It's not just easy just because I recognized it and realized it. It's going to take a lot of work until it's almost second nature. So I just wanted to remind you guys that my worst mood this week was still getting through those tough moments. |
3:23.0 | Those breakthroughs, you know, making sure I needed to be thoughtful. There was still some little many breakdowns. There were still some realizations. But overall like having this new mindset that I'm trying to incorporate into my day to day life has made the breakthroughs more meaningful and made those like little low moments. |
3:41.0 | Although they're not easy and they're technically bad moods. They lead to something good because of that thoughtfulness and that mindset. So best mood is the positive thoughtfulness and being able to you know, just feel really good in my decision making and my communication and how I spend my time and then worst mood is just still going through it still breaking through still beating myself up a little bit still being a little bit unsure questioning things searching for even deeper meaning and purpose. |
4:09.0 | How do I execute that? It's not something you care overnight. So just remember that, but you can always go back and listen to other episodes about stuff that maybe like feel more timely for you. Maybe you need a reminder and always recommending books to you guys as well too. So there's always something you can do to like keep your head on straight even through the bad moods. |
4:27.0 | Something I've wanted to do for a really long time is ancestry health. 6:20.0 | Let's jump into mood boosters because I have a few this week. I did a little IRL retail therapy and you know I know that retail therapy is not exactly like a mood booster. I should always be promoting but it's someone that just like loves fashion so much like I just love shopping and fashion like it's just ingrained in my DNA. I've said this multiple times. I don't know why I feel the need to keep defending myself. I just love it you guys. It's a hobby. |
