the title I want to talk about the one who got away and I'm sure you've heard this saying or

you've said it yourself the one who got away that is someone in your life a person from your past

who you had something special with but ultimately something got in the way something prevented

you to from living that special something from being together the one who got away potential that

went as far as it could but it didn't go as far as you wished it would the one who got away it's

someone who you look back on with very rose colored glasses you remember them in a very positive

light and you kind of regret not being together because you think they could have been the one if

only things had been different and you hold on to them and you refuse to let go in some way right

and I bet you can relate to this in some capacity I think we all have versions of this idea in our

lives someone who deep down you thought was so perfect and you were great together but it never

happened and now with hindsight you look back on them you look back on your time together you

look back on the experience as a whole and you kind of really romanticize that person or your

brief time together and I want to talk about this especially the way that we are wired to look back

on people like the one who got away and look at them with rose colored glasses that's the saying

right rose tinted glasses rose colored glasses that is how we tend to look back and overly

romanticize we tend to look back and fill in the gaps of our memories with overwhelming positivity
